These are samples of postcards I designed for Saja. The cards were used to inform clients of market dates and new collections.
Because the clothes were often displayed without models, using various applications of type, spacial arrangement,
and imagery were very important to creating the right mood for each collection.

Spring is my favorite time of the year. The fashion during this season looks fresh, light, and airy.
Saja's Spring'09 collection consisted of bright colors, bold interesting prints, and subtle sexy sillouettes.
My goal for this collection was to complement these elements with the sweater designs as well as the look book.

Han Eul is a project of home accessories made from refurbished materials. I devised a simple "belt" to contain the boxes and coasters out of printed recycled paper.
Both the nesting boxes and coasters are also contained in a muslin pouch. The pouch itself is a reusable accessory.

A natural cream color was chosen for Saja's signature packaging. The cream with the subtle contrast of a white logo reflected the aura of femininity.
I chose a modern Century Gothic font in a medium grey to add a little modern touch to the business cards.

Softboiled is a collection of usable art. Made for those who like well made, out of the ordinary objects for their lives.
Modern living in the city often requires modular shaped objects. I designed Softboiled's identity to express a compact and contained lifestyle with a little quirk.

These bags are printed and crafted by hand. While making these, I kept in mind the everyday day lives of city women.
Whether it's riding a bike, the subway, or just walking, travel is something we all need to do with ease. Each piece is visually fun and humorous.

Playing with asymmetrical and unexpected notions, I hand knitted this scarf with beautiful cotton yarn from South America.
Rediscovering the timeless technique of knitting, I look forward to developing more hand knit wares.

The concept of useful quirky items for modern living reoccurs in my designs. This wallet has many pockets and folds into a compact dollar sized rectangle.
Most of the materials used were vintage and/or refurbished.

These pieces are examples of my past work. I was very much into sculptural garments, and often added versatility to pieces.
Combining architectural elements with fashion, I built each garment as a structure. The result was more conceptual than wearable.

These sweaters were designed for Saja's Fall'09 collection. Designing cotton sweaters was the most challenging for me.
There is an art to turning basic into unique, but sometimes the basics do not need to be reinvented.

These metallic / rayon blend sweaters were designed for Saja's Fall'09 collection. I love the ease and glamour of each of piece.
I think this group best represented the fall concept.

Rayon crepe yarn feels very cool and 'slinky' to the touch. Because of the yarn's drape and weight, form fitting shapes worked best.
In this group, I contrasted the fit with demure styling for Saja Fall'09.

Hanging with sheer chiffon dresses, the chunky wool sweaters were a nice textural contrast for Saja's Fall collections.
Due to the heavy nature of the yarn, my underlying concept for all the designs was the ability to layer.

NowVation™ is a marketing consulting company. They needed a simple yet modern web presence explaining their services to clients. The copy and logo were provided, inspiring me to create traffic-sign-like icons for each section. I chose a jackalope for their slogan "we make believe," because it's an example of how we create reality.

Modular, compact, and functional, these boxes came about when I needed soft containers to hold my rings. Made from recycled felted wool.
There are more pics of these in the 'packaging' section.

These pillows were made for Softboiled, using recycled materials and eco-friendly fill.
Using opposing imagery such as tough/masculine + soft/feminine, and quirky playful graphic images, these pillows add humor to any space.

I am definitely a creature of comfort, and nothing is more comforting than good food. My pattern drafting instructor once said cooking and making clothes were the same. They both require the use of raw materials and creating a new outcome.
Here are some photos of meals I felt were pretty enough to photograph.
